Thomas Chieffe was appointed Masco Group Vice President in October 2003. Mr. Chieffe joined Masco as a Group Controller in 1993, responsible for providing financial and operational direction for a $2.0 billion (sales) group of companies. In 1996, he was named Executive Vice President/General Manager of KraftMaid Cabinetry, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of built-to-order cabinetry. In this capacity, Mr. Chieffe was responsible for day-to-day operational oversight and developed KraftMaid's strategic direction. In 1998, Mr. Chieffe was promoted to the position of President of KraftMaid Cabinetry, where he served until his appointment as Group Vice President.
Mr. Chieffe began his career at Edward J. DeBartolo Co., a real estate developer, as an internal auditor in 1979. Two years later he joined Schering AG, a manufacturer of capital equipment for the electronics industry. In 1985, Mr. Chieffe joined Johnson Controls, headquartered in Plymouth, Mich., where he held several increasingly responsible positions in financial operations, with the most recent position as North American Operations Controller.
Mr. Chieffe holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania.
